Background
Nadjette DJEMOUAI is a microbial ecologist who earned her PhD from the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algeria in 2023, focusing on the biodiversity of actinobacteria from arid environments and their biological activities, particularly the production of antimicrobial secondary metabolites for the biocontrol of plant diseases. Her master’s research at the same institution explored the symbiotic relationships between mycorrhizae and leguminous trees, providing insights into plant health and soil fertility. With experience in molecular biology, microbial diversity, and practical laboratory teaching, Nadjette’s work bridges fundamental research and applied solutions for agriculture. She has recently joined ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, where her research now concentrates on food mycology and developing innovative strategies to combat mycotoxin contamination, contributing to food safety and sustainable agroecosystem management.
