Chevening is more than a scholarship. It brings together people who want to make a positive impact. Since becoming a Chevening Scholar, I have experienced this through meaningful conversations, strong networks, and a shared sense of purpose.

Moving to the UK has been a learning experience in itself. From the first weeks of settling in, everything from daily routines to classroom culture has challenged me to adapt quickly. That challenge has been rewarding; it has strengthened my resilience and helped me become more confident in speaking up, asking better questions, and building relationships across cultures.

At Cranfield, what I appreciate most is the practical, industry-connected approach to learning. Cranfield’s postgraduate-only setting also creates a focused and purpose-driven environment. The programme consistently links concepts to real-world decision-making through case studies, group projects, and classroom discussions shaped by diverse professional backgrounds. I have also valued the supportive atmosphere from classmates to faculty  who encourage critical thinking and provide guidance throughout the journey.

Applying for the Chevening scholarship was a goal I had for a long time. I was first inspired by a friend who won it a couple of years ago. At first, I was hesitant because it’s a very competitive process, but I knew it was a unique opportunity for both my personal and professional growth. My main motivation is a project I want to develop to help my country, and I saw the Cranfield MBA and the experience of studying in the UK as the perfect way to gain the skills and the prestige needed to make it happen.

Cranfield is incredibly diverse, and being in a classroom with people from all over the world is a masterclass in itself. While I’m looking forward to mastering subjects like Strategy, Finance, and Entrepreneurship, what excites me most is gaining a global perspective. Since I’m used to the reality of my home country, understanding different cultures and ways of working is opening my mind in ways I couldn't have imagined.

The next few months look intense but very exciting! We have consultancy projects, trips, and the internship coming up. I’m really looking forward to the hands-on part of the MBA, taking everything we’ve been studying in books and applying it to real-world business challenges. I believe that’s where the most valuable learning happens, and I can’t wait to see the impact of our work outside the classroom.

The application process is demanding, but the reward is massive. It’s a life-changing experience that gives you global opportunities and a network that stays with you forever. If you really want to study abroad and make a difference, this is 100% worth the effort.
